About Me

& I oop… didn’t see you there. Well since you’re here, please take your shoes off at the door and feel free to roam around wherever you desire. Oh yeah, I almost forgot. You want to know about me, right? Well, here I go!

I am a 22-year-old, Columbus, Ohio native. I am a 2019 graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism with a minor in Africana Studies from Youngstown State University. I am currently in graduate school pursuing my Master of Science in Marketing & Communications.

In 2017 I was awarded Outstanding General Interest at the 2017 Society of Collegiate Journalist Awards. I also love traveling. Fun fact: I’ve been to over 8 different counties and provinces. Check my Instagram because I add a story highlight overtime I go somewhere.

One day in fifth grade I sat down and drew my Winnie the Pooh and Tigger sleeping bag and I was like, “Oh wow, I can draw.” Ever since then, it’s been history. Since then, I’ve tapped into many different creative arts that I am highly skilled in. Which makes no sense to me because why am I broke? You know, sometimes I have to literally check my bank account in public with the screen brightness on low and I’m slOUCHED IN MY CHAIR BECAUSE WHAT IF SOMEONE SAW MY SCREEN AND THEN I’M JUST EMBARRA-wow, so sorry. I got a little carried away.

Anyway, what was I talking about? Oh yeah my creative side. So currently as of today I have do photography, print design, web design, creative writing, typography, I shoot and edit videos, draw, dance, paint, and even sing. I mean, I can’t sing at all, but I try and even though it sounds absolutely horrible I never give up. Honestly, I can’t dance either but that’s another story. I love working out and eating, it’s sort of a conflict of interest because to be a snack I have to stop eating snacks.

You know what I think of that? Total malarkey. 0/10 would not recommend that advice. Even though, it’s kind of true.

I love traveling, in fact I’ve been to over eight countries and provinces. Check out my Instagram highlights, I add every trip on there. I’m saying this again because I know you didn’t do it the first time.

Like Beyoncé said, “Hire Iyonna! Get her a job and great fortune will be with you and your company for decades.” Before you ask, I didn’t make that up… she really said that in a dream I had. Believe Beyoncé guys, trust Beyoncé.
